The World University Basketball Series 2023, also known as “Sun Chlorella presents WUBS,” which was held at the National Yoyogi Stadium Second Gymnasium in August last year.The protagonists of this documentary series are the dancers gathered for the Dance performance to be held at the WUBS venue. The project was launched under the Rakuten Group’s slogan “Powered by Sports. Playing for All. A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER”

Episode 1: “The Audition”

In Episode 1, the thoughts of Reiko, a former NBA dancer who serves as the director of this project, as well as the real excitement at the audition venue, are captured.What is the message that Reiko wants to convey to the participants, each with different backgrounds?Furthermore, one wonders what feelings the participants will convey in an audition before a professional dancer with experience in America.

Episode 2: “The Rehearsal”

Episode 2 features the first meeting scene of the A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER Dance Crew, which was formed through auditions, as well as the feelings of each member and the main recording of the rehearsal scenes.There are only three full rehearsals that can be conducted officially.Under limited conditions, the members grow by strengthening their unity, with Director Reiko at the center.However, unexpected accidents also occurred in the process…The time left until the real thing had already been cut down to less than a month.Will they be able to successfully complete their performance?

Episode 3: “The Performance”

In Episode 3, we go behind the scenes with the A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER Dance Crew, as they prepare for their halftime show at WUBS.Amidst a whirlwind of various emotions such as anxiety, tension, excitement, and moving feelings, each member, as professionals, rush onto the court with a smile.

There are those who strive to become professionals, and there are those who once gave up but have decided to start running again.People’s circumstances vary; some engage in jobs other than dance, while others take on the role of a mother.However, if one is not afraid to take on challenges, anyone can step onto the same stage.On this day, Reiko and the 12 members demonstrated it through Dance.

If there will be more entities that praise each other like A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER Dance Crew in the country, the possibilities of dance should expand even further in the future.The courage and inspiration they gave us embodies the true charm of sports.I want more people to experience its value.
