The Rakuten Monkeys’ Big Game Is Back! “A Better Future Together Through Sports” ― the Spirit Crosses the Ocean to Taiwan | Rakuten SUPER GAME

Rakuten SUPER GAME ― the Rakuten Monkeys' official match, held as part of the Rakuten Group's "SUPER SUMMER SERIES," together with Vissel Kobe's Rakuten SUPER MATCH and the Rakuten Eagles' Rakuten Super Nighter ― carried the "A Better Future Together Through Sports" message across the sea to Taiwan once again this year.

Rakuten SUPER GAME was held on July 5th at Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium, the Rakuten Monkeys’ home ballpark in Taoyuan, located near Taipei. Up until last year the event had been called “Taiwan Rakuten Group Day,” but this year it got a “super” upgrade to align with Vissel Kobe’s Rakuten SUPER MATCH and the Rakuten Eagles’ Rakuten Super Nighter. Together, the three events make up the “SUPER SUMMER SERIES.”

The Rakuten Monkeys and the Rakuten Eagles are both baseball teams, yet they play in different leagues in different countries. Vissel Kobe, being a soccer team, is about a different sport altogether. Even so ― or perhaps because of it ― holding these events together as the SUPER SUMMER SERIES made it unmistakably clear that the Rakuten Group’s philosophy of “A Better Future Together Through Sports” runs through all three. What does a better future look like? It’s a question without an easy answer, but these events could well be the spark that gets people thinking.

The Rakuten Girls cheerleaders, who have featured in syncSPORTS on many occasions, also made an appearance.

The Taiwan Rakuten Ichiba booth offered free sampling of products from marketplace sellers.

In addition to Taiwan Rakuten Ichiba, booths were set up by Rakuten Global Express, Rakuten Card, Rakuten Bank, Rakuten Insight, Rakuten Kobo, Rakuten Travel, and Rakuten Medical.

Fans who scanned QR codes to follow each different service’s social media account received special cards featuring Rakuten Monkeys players and Rakuten Girls cheerleaders.
